At the risk of straying too far from Greek into zoology, surely the big
potentially aggressive pigs Allen Jacobson describes so vividly are
animals who have been selectively bred over many generations for maximum
meat production. I wonder if what Jesus was thinking of was something
more like the little semi-wild pigs who scavenge in groups in towns in
India to this day?
