I have a question on Matthew 11.11:

AMHN LEGW hUMIN, OUK EGHGERTAI EN GENNHTOIS GUINAIKWN MEIZWN IWANNOU
BAPTISTOU; hO DE MIKROTEROS EN THi BASILEIAi TWN OURANOWN MEIZWN AUTOU
ESTIN.

My question has to do with the role of DE. Most translations seem to render
it in a contrastive sense--"yet". But hO DE is a standard connective
denoting a shift of subject without necessarily any contrastive or
adversative force. Is there some rule about the use of DE I am overlooking?
