as opposed to Ac. 14:23
XEIROTONHSANTES DE AUTOIS KAT' EKKLHSIAN PRESBUTEROUS,
This use of KAT' EKKLHSIAN is a hapax in Acts as against 3 occurrences of
KAT' OIKON ).

Haenchen comments -- not on KAT' EKKLHSIAN, but on Luke's use of
XEIROTONHSANTES --- that Luke has simply taken for granted that the
ecclesiastical constitution of his own day existed in the time of Paul, as
against the " the community organization which emerges from the genuine
Paulines " ; a comment which surely can equally be applied to the use of
EKKLHSIA?
