The problem is that KAQISTATAI here is middle and INTRANSITIVE, not
passive. The transitive/intransitive status of a verb cannot be so simply
categorized for every usage of a particular verb. For that reason I don't
think it's reasonable to attempt a list of "TRANSITIVE verbs that can
function as equative verbs in a predicate nominative structure." What one
wants is simply a list of "VERBS that can function as equative verbs in
predicate nominature structure."
