AusFilms

This is a database of Australian and New Zealand films with extensive information about them. Allows searches by actor, director, etc.; contains information on finding the films; AFI Award information is also on the site.
Australian Film Commission (AFC)
The purpose of the AFC is to encourage filmmaking in Australia. Their site includes information on how to get funding from them, details on awards and festivals, past issues of the newsletter (devoted to events in and information about Australian film), and a gallery of AFC funded works (currently limited to interactive media).
Cinemedia
Dedicated to the art of film, Cinemedia has a large Australian film and video collection which it makes available to the public. The collections can be searched on the web site.
Critical Mass
Based in Auckland, this site covers New Zealand film and theatre, offering reviews of full-length and short films from New Zealand and other parts of the world.
Dark Horizons
Based in Sydney, this has become one of the hottest spots on web for getting the latest movie gossip or an overview of upcoming films. Covers films from around the world, but very good at including films with an Australian connection.
Film New Zealand
Formed to provide an introduction service to filming in New Zealand, this organiztion has information about production facilities, locations, and industry organizations nationwide. Includes a gallery of images from loactions across New Zealand.
Great Moments on the Australian Screen
A collection of descriptions, posters, images, and video clips from Australian films. An amazingly wonderful resource and part of Screen Network Australia.
New Zealand Film Commission
This organization promotes and encourages New Zealand filmmaking with support, services, and funding. It includes information on New Zealand features, short films, and filmmakers in addition to details about its available services for filmmakers.
NZ Film Page
A web site for New Zealand filmmakers. It contains a discussion board, trading board (for equipment), and links to other useful resources.
Screen Network Australia
This resource aims to be the center of information about Australian cinema. It has a directory of web sites relating to Australian film, a calendar of events, newsgroups, mailing lists, bulletin boards, and links to Australian film news resources.
Urban Cinefile
The best online journal devoted to news about film in Australia, from gossip about upcoming productions, to reviews of recently released videos and movies, to interviews with prominent actors and filmmakers. Don't forget to check out their series of features looking at the making of many well-known Australian films from Romper Stomper to Dating the Enemy. They also offer their "Australian A List" of the top people in the Australian Film Industry.
