Way back in 1997, I started this site along with several other former New Farm editors to try to fill the gap left when Rodale Institute ceased publication of that magazine.  In 2003, things came full circle when the Institute launched the NewFarm.org website.

You'll see some familiar names there, including former New Farm editors Greg Bowman and George DeVault, and research farm manager Jeff Moyer.  Like the magazine, the website is very farmer-friendly, and I highly recommend it.

For the past few years, I've not had much time to keep this site up and running.  My job as a communications specialist in the Department of Horticulture at Cornell University and other commitments haven't left enough time to do the website justice.  I've been tempted to pull the plug on the site, but it continues to get a lot of hits despite the dated material and link rot.

Feel free to explore what's left of the site.  But I especially recommend the links above as good sources for sustainable farming information.

Keep up the good work and keep me posted.
