CV-2 USS Lexington

Damaged and set on fire in the Battle of the Coral Sea by Japanese torpedo-bombers from carriers Shokaku and Zuikaku; fires could not be controlled and ship was abandoned following major explosions. Scuttled at 2000 on 8 May 42 by destroyer Phelps.
