CV-5 USS Yorktown

Badly damaged 8 May 42 in the Battle of the Coral Sea, heroic efforts by dry dock personnel repaired Yorktown in time for the Battle of Midway.

Damaged during Battle of Midway at 1200 and 1445 on 4 Jun 42 by torpedoes and bombs, abandoned and taken in tow on the 5th. Torpedoed by I-168 on the 6th and sunk by slow flooding at 0500 on the 7th.
