USS LSM-213

LSM-213 was built at Dravo Corp., Wilmington, Del., and commissioned 11 July 1944, Lt. (jg) Grant L. Kimer, USNR, in command. During World War II, LSM-213 was assigned to the Pacific Theater of Operations and participated in the assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, 30 May-30 June 1945. On 22 June, the ship was crashed by a kamikaze, suffering three killed or missing and ten wounded. Extensive damage required her retirement to Seattle for repairs. On October 5, and inspection board determined that she did not merit repair and was to be decommissioned.

LSM-213 was decommissioned 19 November 1945 and sold to A.T. Davis on 5 June 1946.
