June 2005 celebrates ibiblio's blogs

The logbooks of the Lady Nelson bear witness to the leading part played by one small British ship in the discovery of a great continent. They show how closely, from the date of her first coming to Sydney in 1800 until her capture by pirates off the island of Baba in 1825, this little brig was identified with the colonisation and development of Australia.

The Real Paul Jones

A picture of John Paul Jones, not Paul Jones

The Real Paul Jones covers things that involve and/or amuse the Real Paul Jones. While other Paul Joneses get some attention, things having to do with the Real Paul Jones's geekish, poetic and arts interests are what gets the electrons. PomeRantz

image of Jeffrey Pomerantz

Jeffrey Pomerantz opened his blog by writing, "This will just be me taking the Lyceum software for a spin, as a way of getting some experience in the creation of a blog myself. This will just be me posting things that cross the ol. transom that seem worth posting." Since November of 2004, Jeffrey has been using PomeRantz to share diverse anecdotes not only across the field of library and information science but also on surprising unrelated topics...Star Wars...Moore's Law...the evolution of black squirrels...the artifacts at Oxyrhynchos....
