POETRY
ARCHIVES

Written in an odd state of mind. Come read the midnight special, three am.

An untitled poem I wrote during the fall of 1992.

This poem, The Sundial, was also written in the fall of 1992. The scenario involved the sundial in front of the Morehead Planetarium, here at UNC-Chapel Hill.

I took an upper level English class my freshman year here at Carolina, and there was a marvelously floopsy guy in there named John Watters. He's gone now, but I wrote this when I was daydreaming one day.

Inspiration comes in all forms, one of which notwithstanding is caffeine. Without it, college students could not survive. That's not all this poem,Coffee, is about.

Written for a dear friend. All the world's a stage, n'est-ce pas?

Cherished friends, far away. The closest I got was Lafayette.

The most important part of my body.
