Q: When germinating plants indoors in plastic bag, should bag be sealed?

I know that to an experienced person I seem like an idiot but I've
seen this technique described in several books but I don't know if the
germinating plants need oxygen or not? I have already sown my
vegatable seeds and put them in ziplock bags but haven't ziplocked
them because I really don't know?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
