First, for this use open pollinated and not hybrid plants BUT
right after that you have to consider the typical pollination
mechanisms of the different crops other wise you will be creating
hybrids as you grow. Some peas for example are self fertile
and mostly pollinate themselves. Corn is often not self fertile
and is wind and insect pollinated meaning that different types
must either be separated by distance or have the fertilization
occure at different times. (like 1 mile apart or two weeks different
in tasseling)
Squash and Pumpkins (technically considered 3 speices but
close enought to reproduce poorly together) are generally
insect pollinated and have suggested separation distances of
something like 1/4 mile.
