Marine Ecosystems Threatened: Act Now!

Marine life off the western US coast is being threatened with extinction
and what are you planning to do about it? Factory trawlers owned and
operated by seafood industries are pulling in millions of fish with every
cast of their giant nets, threatening the marine ecosystem. In short
they are strip mining the seas. Greenpeace has taken the initiative to
call for the gradual phase out of these factory trawlers by the year
2001. Would you like to add your voice to save our fragile ecosystem and
environment? InterActivism the online activist organization gives you a
chance to do so. At their site on the web (http://www.interactivism.com)
visitors can send a free fax to the Presidents of American Seafood and
Tysons Seafood asking for the phase out of their trawlers. Visit
InterActivism at http://www.interactivism.com and check out the latest
action to "Stop Strip Mining Our Seas."
