In their book "Food First" Frances Moore Lapea (sp?) and Joseph
Collins discuss the myth that industrial agriculture is more
productive than "primitive" agriculture -- it's not, it's just more
profitable for a few people. They argue that it is "scientific",
export based agriculture that has caused starvation around the world.
