Rumba y Folklórico en Matanzas
In December 1994, I traveled to the University of Matanzas in Cuba
to attend the Rumba & Folklore in
Matanzas program with Caribbean Music & Dance.
As part of the program we attended percussion, song and dance classes, as well as performances by
Los Munequitos de Matanzas,
Grupo AFROCUBA de Matanzas,
Ojun Degara, and Columbia del Puerto en Cárdenas.
With this series of HTML pages I hope to share my experiences in Cuba
with others, especially US citizens, who have not had the opportunity
to experience Cuban culture first hand.
