To run a server, you need:
- some computer expertise
- a computer running a multithreaded OS, although Windows and Macs will work barely (gurus prefer UNIX)
- server software (netsite, ncsa, plexus, etc)
- an appropriate communications link, 9.6KB or T-1 (1.5MB)
- connected to an Internet service provider
To design your pages, you need:
- computer design skills
- writing and editorial skills
- awareness of the limitations of the Net
- basic HTML coding skills (or Internet Assistant or other HTML authoring environment)
- computer design programs (photoshop, corel draw, truespace, etc)
- sound and video optional
