Kill those Cookies

And pesky banner ads too:

RFC2109 -- proposed on Feb. 18 by the Internet Engineering Task Force;
would set standards for cookie construction and use.

www.pgp.com/products/pgpcookie.cgi -- "cookie cutter plug-in" that manages
the cookies that are placed on your hard drive.

Another site --"Internet Junkbuster" -- routes all http: requests through
a proxy server and strips out cookies and ad banners. As yet unseen by me.

Netscape 4.0 will supposedly include a suite of cookie control tools
that offer improvements to cookie management options in 3.0 (any one
checked this out?)
