Abstract: FILEDT is a specialized text editor designed to edit
disk files block by block. The data in any given block
may be examined in a variety of formats. They include
ASCII, OCTAL WORD, OCTAL BYTE, RAD50, HEXADECIMAL,
INTEGER, BINARY, and FLOATING POINT. A user may change
any word of any block in a file. This is most useful for
editing object or executable files.
