These can be obtained from health food store. I had gotten a pamphlet with the candles and from the health food store gave me pictures. The first thing is you cannot do this procedure alone. There must be a trustworthy individual with you that can administer the proper procedures in the process. The first thing is preparation before you light the candle. We lay on the floor, even though it is said in the directions that a table would be better. So we put down a blanket and a pillow that allows the head to be a level as possible with the rest of the body. One thing that has been suggested to maximize the results, is get 1 or 2 drops of hydrogen peroxide into the ear. It is not the most wonderful feeling, but it helps to soften and clean out the ear. After this you should massage your face. Start at the forehead and follow the contour of the face toward the ear. Also from the cheek and jaw push up towards the ear. Another area is on the back of the head and circle up towards the ear. After 5 minutes of that, you are almost ready to light the candle. make sure you have wet paper towels, a paper plate, scissors, bowl of water, and a towel before beginning. Poke a hole in the paper plate that is just large enough to enable 2" of the candle to go through it. Finally light the candle, and stick it into the ear. If smoke comes out of the ear, it is not in the ear good. I feel like it hurts a little bit at first, but after a while it will be OK. When the smoke clears, begin massaging as described before. During the candling, when the candle is burned up the end should be trimmed and place in the bowl of water. Be careful how low the candle burns. I put wet paper towels on the paper plate so it does not catch fire. After it is burned so low, you pull it out of the ear. The wax is inside the candle on the end. Open it and look to see if you had any wax. Well, hopefully this answers your question. Have a nice day!
