This page provides basic biographical information about a few of the many collectors who have contributed specimens to the UNC Herbarium. Where applicable, links have been provided to papers in the Southern Historical Collection and University Archives, although it should be noted that the Herbarium itself contains many letters, drawings, and field notes of researchers in addition to their specimens. The Couch Biology Library, located just below the Herbarium, also contains much valuable information, including the collected papers of many present and former UNC faculty.
