  A place for bookstores, publishers, and others to conduct technica
  book business. Such business includes bookstores listing their policies
  and book availability; publishers advertising books and/or soliciting
  authors; agents looking for authors to produce books (used to see
  Mitchell Waite doing this for the Waite Group); etc.   A good place 
  for publishers list their requirements for manuscripts, etc.
  
  Careful consideration should be made when cross-posting to both mbt
  and bbt: the fact that a long-awaited book is available might merit
  mention in misc.books.technical.  The fact that you have 400 copies, or
  that you're offering them at a discount <does not>.  But it does belong
  in biz.books.technical.
