Genetic algorithms in computing.
This group is devoted to the subject of genetic algorithms, Including:
-- Mathematical theory of genetic algorithms.
-- Classifier systems, and other uses of GAs in machine learning.
-- The use of GAs in function-optimization.
-- Applications of GAs in any domain.
-- The use of GAs in the modeling of evolution.
-- Evolutionary aspects of artificial life.
-- Combinations of genetic algorithms and neural networks.
-- Other varieties of evolutionary computation
-- e.g. "evolutionary strategies" and "genetic programming".
-- Software for genetic algorithms.
-- Implementational strategies for genetic algorithms.
-- Conference and journal announcements.
It should be noted that the presence of "AI" in the group name
does not rule out discussion of aspects of genetic algorithms that are
not directly related to AI, any more than it does in comp.ai.neural-nets.
