  For testing of network software.  Very boring.

  A test group which is monitered by several autorepliers (about 14 at
  the last count) around the world which sent E-mail to the poster. This
  means the speed and propogation of news around the world can be
  checked.  This group is often seen in follow-up lines since people
  often try to booby trap posts in an attempt to flood any people who
  respond with test E-mail replies.
