  All aspects of history. (Moderated)

  A group to allow a free-flowing discussion of historical events
  and trends of _general_ intrest to the Usenet history devotees.
  
  The moderator has broad powers to determine what topics are of general
  interest.  A non-exclusive list of post characteristics the moderator can
  use to determine the acceptance or rejection of a post for general posting
  in the group are:
  
                o ad-hominem attacks
                o flames
                o pathological cross-postings for a given posts
                  (for example, cross-postings to/from groups that
                   bear little relation to the nature of the post)
                o use of inappropriate vulgarisms in a post
                o general tastlessness in a post
                o a non-replyable e-mail address
  
  If the moderator so desires, she/he will respond to a rejected post stating
  the reasons for rejection, and if she/he so desires, suggesting modifications
  that will allow a modified post into the group.
  
  Lively, animated discussions on historical events or topics where there is
  genuine controversy, or where there is general consensus, are encouraged.
  Requests for information are also encouraged.
