I didn't get any response the first time I posted this, so I thought I'd try
one more time.

I came across this nonsense sentence:

MARPTE SPhIGKs KLWPs ZBUKhThHDON

Ph = PHI , Ks = KSI (XI) , W = OMEGA ,
Ps = PSI , Kh = KHI (CHI) , H = ETA

which the Ancient Greeks used as a copyhead

`UPOGRAMMA (compare 1Peter 2:21)

for teaching the alphabet because it used each letter only once.

Unfortunately, the source did not translate the sentence, nor give its source.

Could anyone translate this sentence?

MARPTE has something to do with seizing

SphIGKs is the Sphinx, or Throttler

KLWPs is a thief.

ZBUKhThHDON completely puzzles me.

If none can give me a source or translate for me,
then can anyone tell me of another list I might post this on?
