Ephesians 3:1,2 - TOUTOU CARIN, EI GE

CARIN was confusing to me - it seems that the accusative of the same word
that means "grace" can also mean "for the sake of". BDR mentions this fact
without explanation, and even Robertson doesn't waste many words on this. Is
there an explanation, or should I just accept this as an oddity of the language?

What is the exact meaning of EI GE in Ephesians 3:2?

I think I understood the genitive chain in Ephesians 3:2, so I'll give
myself 2 points for the day ;->
