1st year grammars and workbooks

I thank you all for your helpful responses. There certainly is wisdom in
a multitude of counsel.

My feel at this point. It probably doesn't matter that much which 1st
year grammar is used. I've narrowed my list down to Machen, Mounce,
Summers, and GREEK TO ME.

Greek tools are important, even early on. Probably BAG or Abbott for
sure. Also, I plan to get the students into the Greek text as soon as
reasonably possible. One thing I personally did that was very helpful was
memorizing from the Greek NT (I memorized Titus during second year; then
discovered it contained lots of hapax legomena).

Someone mentioned that he started teaching 25-30 students, but by year's
end it had dwindled to 2 1/2. That is one major concern.
