Books of possible interest to b-greek readers:

Benjamin Chapman and Gary Steven Shogren, GREEK NEW TESTAMENT INSERT, 2d
ed. rev. (Quakertown, PA: Stylus, 1995?). ISBN 1-88707-002-8. $4.95.

This 60 some page pamphlet is designed to be glued into the Nestle-Aland
Greek New Testament. It has verb charts, a summary of syntax, principal
parts, a glossary, and a brief (rather unhelpful) few pages on doing word
study. Seems to be an excellent resource for beginning Greek students,
affordable and easily carried too!

Roman Garrison, THE GRAECO-ROMAN CONTEXT OF EARLY CHRISTIAN LITERATURE.
(Journal for the Study of the New Testament Supplement Series 137;
Sheffield, England: Sheffield Academic Press, 1997). ISBN 1-85075-646-5.
$35.00.

B-Greek has had some discussion lately about Greco-Roman influence on the
New Testament. This book is an introduction to this area discussing Paul,
the Gospels, and Polycarp (among others) and their relation to Plutarch,
Dio Chrysostom, and other Greco-Roman writers. Unfortunately, the price
is steep for some 130 pages (the volume is the size of a slim
paperback!). Definitely worth getting from the library for a quick
introduction to this field.

Busy for the next couple of days and then on vaction until April 30. Will
discuss aorists and prayer at that time.

Blessings to everyone
