Call for papers

II INTERNATIONAL MEETING
RHETORICA, POLITICS AND IDEOLOGY

   Dear list:
   University of Salamanca (SPAIN) and LOGO: Asociacion EspaŅola de
Estudios sobre Lengua, Pensamiento y Cultura Clasica (LOGO: Spanish
Association of Classical Language, Culture and Philosophy Studies) are
preparing the II International Meeting (Salamanca -SPAIN-, 24th-29th
November 1997). This time the subject is "Rhetoric, Politics and Ideology:

>From its Origins up to now". This project will be attended by eminent
specialists in all the different areas such as Law, Philosophy, Philology,
Journalism, Politics, (specialists whose names and interventions can be
seen in our web page) and it is open to all those interested in this
matter.  In this Meeting we will study the close relations between
Rhetoric, Politics and Ideology in its origins in Ancient Greece and Rome,
but we want to see the actual vigency of Classical Rhetoric. Actually, we
will study the relations between this three aspects nowadays too, and we
don't want to forget any other aspects like Rhetoric and Literature,
Psichology, Comunication...
   You can see our meeting program in our web page, and if you want to
participate (presenting an intervention about any matter related to
rhetoric) you must send us an abstract (by mail, fax or e-mail) and we
will contact with you to offer all the necesary information. Papers can be
presented in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian or Portuguese. Do
not hesitate, however, to keep in touch with us for any doubt or
suggestion you may have.
