maybe my comment will be sufficiently philological so as not to fall under
carl's stricture against purely theological elements.

in ap. 6,8 the xlwpoc innoc 'sickly green horse' had 0avatoc as his rider
ka0hmevoc and the grave too, as being the one who accompanies bringing up the
rear hkolou0ei 'served as follow upper', will have been recognizable to the
seer. when these two meet with the second death, which seems to be meant by the
lake of fire, the seer knows them for who they are. whether this consisted of
visionary characteristics would seem to be a question possibly answerable with
yes.
