Hello all,

I have been going through Romans 8:26-39 and have a question about verse
32.

hOS GE TOU IDIOU UIOU OUK EPHEISATO ALLA hUPER HMWN PANTWN PAREDWKEN
AUTON, PWS OUXI KAI SUN AUTW TA PANTA HMIN XARISETAI;

My trouble is with the whole hOS GE relative clause. Is this whole
clause modifying the hO QEOS found in verse 31 or is it somehow
dependent on XARISETAI?

Leon Morris in a footnote refers to A. W. Argyle who holds that here "we
have a clear instance of the causal usage of the relative pronoun in the
occurance of hOS GE." He translates it as "seeing that he spared not. .
."

What do you all think? I just don't get the relationship between these
two clauses.

Thanks,
