Re: Two useful web resources

List-members who are not familiar with these resources might appreciate
knowing about two web resources of considerable value to persons seeking
such information as that asked yesterday about the word EKKLHSIA. Both are
situated at the University of Evansville in Indiana. The first is ARGOS, a
"Limited Area Search of the Ancient World" that will do a very quick search
of the most valuable web sites concerned with antiquity--including NT and
Early Church History--and bring up enough info about the site to make it
very clear whether the URL is worth checking out:

The other is the "Ecole Initiative," an endeavor to create an online
hypertext encylopedia of early church history ("Early-Church-On-Line ...);
this is a truly splendid resource consisting of numerous fine articles on
particular subjects as well as links to other sites related to any
particular topic relevant to this general area:
