I don't have any inside information about what is going on at Baker, but
I wonder why anyone would want to revise Machen again. We already
have several texts that are very similar to Machen. These authors did
not necessarily borrow from Machen but they wrote *traditional
grammars*.

Anyone of these texts could be used as a *Revised Machen.* Anyone of
these texts is an improvement over Machen (I have reservations about
Summers). For my money, if you want the most elegant and simple
*traditional grammar*, choose James Efird. His text is elegant and
simple. It makes no pretense of teaching anything other than the very
basic elements of NT Greek. I also like it because it has a complete set
of participle paradigms in the reference section.
Having said all of this I should add that I am not a believer in
*traditional grammars,* and I think it is well past the time to bury
Machen forever. Traditional grammars teach NT Greek as if it were a set
of paradigms to memorize. Most students never recover from their
initial exposure to Machen. The spend the rest of their lives thinking
about NT Greek and language in general the way Machen taught it. This is
a real tragedy.
