Just a comment on the discussion on Rev 2:20. It's worth remembering that
PORNEIA includes any marriage that was regarded as illegitimate i.e. not
sanctioned by Torah. It does not only mean immoral sexual acts as we
western Christians might understand the term. It would seem to me that
what Rev 2:20 is on about is that illicit union - a union which in other
cultural circumstances would be quite legitimate.
