>Mark 4:23 "If anyone has ears to hear with, listen up!"
I like this, and agree about the ironic humour. I felt sure that I
had heard a translation like this somewhere, and have looked around,
but all I can find is something a bit like it in the Good News Bible
(not always the ideal place to go to when looking for help with
translating Greek!):
'Listen, then, if you have ears!'
But this of course loses something of EI TIS . . . by
bringing in 'you'. So Jonathan's translation is preferable.
