As some of those posting on this topic have recognized, it is not primarily
focussed on matter of Greek as such, but rather on theological position(s)
of the interpreter(s).
May I ask that it be continued OFF-List, inasmuch as we try to make this
Forum one for persons of all (or no) theological persuasions. For some of
us, the discussion makes all sorts of assumptions we cannot make; and for
others, it is about matters of total mystery (rapture? pre-trib? Mid-trib?
post-trib?). It also requires that its participants grant that all
statements in the NT agree in all other statements in the NT--which many
Christians affirm, but many others find unhelpful.
So keep up the discussion--but privately, among yourselves--OFF-List.
