I find in Harper's lexicon that XHRA means widow and that the masculine
form of this word, which is rarely used, is XHROS.

I'll bet you a nickel, though, that it's just as appropriate to consider
this term as embracing *both* females and males. (At least in this
context).

Glad you asked this question! We don't often wonder if words can apply to
males too! :-)
