It is a great pleasure to report that some of us on the B-Greek
List succeeded in meeting each other, face-to-face, in San
Francisco during the SBL meeting. On Friday, Nov. 22, between
11:30 and 12:00, quite a few managed to report in at Gramcord's
really BIG booth (where Paul Miller offered each of us a free
exegetical insight), and then at 8 a.m. Sunday a number of us
gathered for almost an hour of get-acquainted time.

On Sunday morning, we all expressed our regret that we were
unable to meet Carl Conrad, who has meant so much to the List.
Last year Jonathan Robie and I succeeded in meeting each other.
Now if only Carl Conrad and David Marotta had been present.....
Thanks to everyone who made this possible (especially Jeffrey
Gibson, whom we left waiting by the globe after we disappeared to
the fourth floor, alas!).
Two years from now the meetings will be in Boston; I shall plan
some sort of special gathering, where perhaps I can share some of
my rarer wine-cellar items.
