I would add: supplement Black's helpful vol. with Moises Silva's excellent
work, *God, Language and Scripture* (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1990); now
reprinted as part of *Foundations of Contemporary Interpretation,* ed. M.
Silva, 193-280 (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1996).
