I'd echo Jim West's comments. YUXHN really does require the translation
of 'soul' or 'self' or 'person', or something of the like. "Breath of
life" would translate PNOH ZWHS, as it does in the LXX of Genesis 2:7,
or PNEUMA ZWHS as the LXX translates Genesis 6:17.
