Two more questions:

1. When NAOS refers to the entire temple, does it do so by metonomy? Or
that metonomy was the original reason for NAOS to refer to the entire temple?

2. Can't the phrase THN AULHN THN EXWQEN TOU NAOU mean "the outer court of
the temple"? If it is a reference to the court of the gentiles, it can't
mean "the court outside of the sanctuary", because that court was the inner
court, not the court of the gentiles.
