If this hasn't been mentioned already, the discussion of the meaning of
hHMARTON in 3:23 probably shouldn't be divorced from Paul's use of
hHMARTON at 2:12 and 5:12 - and possibly its other occurrences at
Matthew 27:4, Luke 15:18 & 21, and Acts 25:8. How one translates it in
5:12 definitely (to me) has theological implications.
