In my opinion, yes...although the process may take more than onecopyist, each
applying his own "harmonization." Perhaps the
Peshitta is an example of using a Western-type text (The Old
Syriac) from a competetive community and making somewhat
of a "hybrid" Byzantine (Gospels) and Western (Luke Acts) text.
This would be a good question for the TC list. You may find
that list a valuable resource and supplement to b-greek.
