Jonathan:
I don't know if this helps but Perschbacher's " N.T Greek Syntax" (
Chicago Moody Press 1995 ) lists Hb. 2:13 as
"perfect with present sense" = "I will trust in him" [ p.295 ]
On this page, under the rubric "Periphrastic future" he states:
"The future forms of EIMI join with an anarthrous participle, either
present or perfect, and give emphasis to the present progressive action, or
to the perfect complete action "
Under (a) --- 'future with present participle' he lists as examples:
Lk 1:20; 21:24
Mk. 13:12,25
Under (b) -- 'future with perfect partciple only Hb. 2:13
Regards
Maurice
