Cindy in her question regarding "piss" and "pisseth" quoted eight translations of 1 Samuel 25:22, including the following:
Inspired Version: So and more also do God unto the enemies of David,

Mark then asked, in essence, what the "Inspired Version" is.
The Inspired Version is not a translation from Hebrew or Greek manuscripts in the sense to which this list is devoted. Rather, it is an explanatory midrash prepared by Joseph Smith, founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly referred to as Mormon (of which I am a member). If you look carefully at the quoted translation, you will see that it does not vary at all from the KJV. The Inspired Version (referred to by many Latter-day Saints as the "Joseph Smith Translation" based on Smith's own idiosyncratic terminology) is a revision of the KJV text and not an independent translation in the sense we normally use the word today. The changes made in the Old Testament were rather sparse, so for great expanses of text the Inspired Version is simply identical to the KJV. With a couple of exceptions, it is not considered canonized scripture by Mormons of the Utah variety, but it is generally considered useful as supplementary material. Also, with a few exceptions, it would normally not be
helpful in response to a question such as that posed, which is seeking independent treatments of the Hebrew and Greek language texts.
As to the substance of the question, personally I agree with Jack that the expression is idiomatic for any male, notwithstanding the inability of an infant literally to "piss against a wall."
