Gal 1:1

Starting right in in verse 1 of chapter one, there is a bit of a translation
issue with "oude di avQrwpou".
In NIV and KJV it reads
"nor by man" [which to me can mean not being commissioned by man]
   or
"nor through [which more specifically seems to mean not by means of] man".
NIV
Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God
the Father, who raised him from the dead--
RSV
Paul an apostle--not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and
God the Father, who raised him from the dead--
KJV
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God
the Father, who raised him from the dead;)
DBY
Paul, apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and
God [the] Father who raised him from among [the] dead,
YLT
Paul, an apostle -- not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ,
and God the Father, who did raise him out of the dead --

It seems that "through" better captures the fact that not only was it not
man who sent Paul but man was NOT EVEN THE AGENCY by which he received it
(See verse 12).
