I think my wits must have abandoned me. The suggestion that
SOTHRIANOS/SOTRIANOS might have been Latin--even though it obviously
derives from SWTHR which is pure Greek--blinded me to the obvious: that KE
= KAI, since E and AI were pronounced alike from the second century A.D.
onwards as they are today. I still think that the phrase hO SOTHRIANOS hO
KE LIMBAROS must must something like "preserver and destroyer."
