Jay P. Green, Sr. in his "The Literal Translation of the Bible" translates
Acts 2:38 as:

"And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you ON the name of
Jesus Christ TO FORGIVENESS of sins..." (cap. emphasis mine).

Now would someone please tell me what that verse is saying?
