Dr. Beck passed away [late 60s?]. An update of his translation was
attempted. The New Testament was published as the New Evangelical
Translation. Also Proverbs and maybe a couple of other books. But the
project was abandoned to totally revamp the translation, and appears as
"God's Word." I liked the cross references Beck utilized, only cross
quotations, where the Old Test is quoted in the New Test. Hope this helps.
